Return to NRSDBNRSDB release 2026-10-17 Latest
Highlights
ESRs now open in a new ESR view page at /esr-view/<id>, and every link to an ESR —
alert and reminder emails, the daily report, the notifications menu and the ESR list —
goes there. Entering speeds is stricter: kilometre speeds are supported properly, and
impossible combinations are rejected with a clear message. East Midlands LORs can now be
added from the profile page.
New
- ESR view page — ESRs open at
/esr-view/<id>. Links in acknowledgement reminder emails, the daily report, the unacknowledged-ESRs menu, the ESR list and Controller notifications all point to it. Will replace speed-view.php but this remains until magic links to it expire - Add East Midlands LORs — new button on the Profile page to subscribe to all East Midlands LORs in one click. The route buttons are now in alphabetical order.
Improvements
- Speed entry (KPH) — when KPH is selected, any whole speed from 5 to 200 is accepted. MPH is unchanged: 5, then multiples of 5 up to 125.
- Speed entry (checks) — a differential speed must restrict freight below passenger
(e.g.
50/60), and neither speed may be higher than the line speed when one is given. The reason is shown next to the field instead of a general error. - Withdrawing an ESR — a "please wait" overlay shows while the withdrawal is processed, and the button cannot be pressed twice. If it fails, the withdraw form stays open so the remarks can be corrected and resubmitted. On success, a confirmation is shown before the page reloads with the withdrawn status.
- After impose / amend / withdraw — the confirmation leads to the ESR view page, and the browser's Back button no longer returns to the submitted form.
- ESR view loads faster — the map is only created when the Map tab is opened.
- Kent LORs — the "Add Kent LORs" list now includes SO510, SO680 and SW100.
Fixes
- Breadcrumb and edit links — links on the ESR pages (route, DU, National, Edit) now work from the new routed pages.
Admin
- Organisations — user and operator counts are shown correctly, and organisations with no active users are listed instead of disappearing.
- Email — the Notice Delivery Failures table can be filtered by date range, RefNum, email and organisation, with a count of rows shown. The page loads much faster (a 9-second query is now 0.02 seconds).
- Audit Trail — the user filter shows each user's email address alongside their name.
- Railway menu — ELRs, LORs, Locations and Track Codes now link to sections of the Railway page.
Removed
- Admin → TSRs — the TSRs admin page and its menu item have been removed as it didn't add any value over what is available to everyone
